Seconds to Midnight.

The clock's nearing midnight...  I always feel so excited just a few minutes until the bells toll my favourite hour of the whole day.  There's just something so special about it...  ::sigh::  Tick tock, tick tock.  Today I had Thanksgiving with my family, which was great fun.  I ate until I was like, totally stuffed and then went to sleep on the couch for a few hours before playing Yahtzee with my cousins.  Then I went to my Meme's house where we ran around and rollerbladed and skateboarded.  I got on a skateboard and actually stayed on for a few seconds before it threw me off.  I have such terrible balance.  But falling off a skateboard onto cold, hard cement is actually quite fun.  ::giggle::  I'm so exhausted and giddy right now...  I guess I had better go to bed before I fall asleep at the computer.

A Busy Day in the Life of Mikka

::whine::  My calves hurt.  Seriously, though.  They're killing me.  I did my 'Accelerated Body Sculpting Pilates' DVD this morning and I'm so sore.  I have got to start doing it on a regular basis.  I'm sorry to admit it, but I've been listening to the MIX 100.3 radio station like crazy these past few weekends.  Usually they play terrible today's pop and stuff but starting at 5:00 pm on Fridays, they play '80s pop music for the whole weekend.  I love the 1980s!  Being born in '88 is the saddest thing ever.  I only got to grow up on '80s remnants, not the actual thing.  ::sigh::  I've also been obsessed with VH1 Classic.  I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.  And in my opinion, sliced bread is pretty fantastic.  Emily The Spastic Attack Dog got out this afternoon when I was in the backyard feeding her.  Daddy was mowing the front lawn and had forgotten to close the gate.  She darted out the door in a flash and was gone down the dirt road and had turned onto one of the alleys in my neighborhood.  I wasn't wearing any shoes, so my feet are all beat up now.  My brother luckily had shoes on and caught her.  I was real exhausted.  I watched Dirty Dancing yesterday, it came on tv.  I love that movie!  Patrick Swayze is so awesome.  I really want to see the new Dirty Dancing movie that came out recentlyish.  Right now the name has slipped my mind...  Hmm...  Well, anyway.  Yes.  Have a fantastic Day!
 
Beauty Pageants and Lightning

We got our computer back!  Woohoo!  Man, our house is a BAD place for lightning.  Over the years, our TV got totally fried, three different trees got killed, our satellite got broken, and our computer got killed.  Nothing ever happens to our neighbors!  Why us?  Ugh. 


Today I got an application for the Miss Teen USA pageant, which I look forward to entering.  Mom said that if I tried hard in school this year, she'd let me do it if I get accepted.  I filled the application out tonight and Mom's going to take some snapshots for me to send.  I'm so pumped!  I really hope I get pretty far.  A scholarship would be so amazing.  If I win Miss Teen Texas I'll get a full four year scholarship to any Texas college or university, along with tons of other unbelivable stuff.
